Markings: The left side of the barrel sheath is marked “HÄMMERLI 230 / LENZBURG SWITZERLAND” and with an Eagle over “N” proof mark. The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number, “23-1142” and “Pat.” The right side of the frame is marked with “Cal. .22 short”. The left side trigger guard bow is marked with an Eagle over “N” proof mark, a “73” date code, and an Ulm antler.
Barrel Length: 6 1/4”
Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade that is integral to the barrel sheath. The rear sight is an adjustable square-notch fixed to the rear of the frame.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The grip is an aftermarket MC ergonomic wood grip with palm and finger grooves. The wood has light handling marks on most edges along with scattered minor nicks on the lower edges. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip rates in about Very Good-to-Fine condition, as not original to the gun.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 96% of its finish. Blued areas have minor nicks scattered about with the heaviest concentration being on the forward edges. The alloy areas are free of any notable wear or damage. The screw have light tool marks with a sharp slot, pins are unmarred, and all markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This Hammerli 230 includes two (2) 5-round magazines, a serial-matching Hammerli box, the manual and a set of tools.
