Our Assessment: Great Western Arms revolvers hold a unique place in American firearms history. Founded in the early 1950s, Great Western Arms Co. was the first American company to revive the classic Colt Single Action Army design after Colt ceased production in 1941. These revolvers were built with solid quality and were a favorite among Hollywood cowboys, used extensively in Western films of the era.

This example is chambered in .45 Colt with a classic 7.5” barrel and striking case-colored frame, making it one of the more desirable variants from Great Western. The markings are crisp, the finish is strong, and the bore condition is superb. Its smooth stag-style grips add a vintage charm fitting of the period.

For collectors of Old West-style revolvers or post-war American arms, this piece is a standout. It’s both a shooter and a conversation piece, embodying mid-century craftsmanship with historic frontier appeal. Please see our high quality photos and good luck on your bid! -M.C.
