Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “FREEDOM ARMS 353 CASULL .357 MAG / FREEDOM, WYOMING U.S.A.” The left side of the frame is marked, “PAT. NO. 4126953”. The right side of the frame is marked “FREEDOM ARMS / PREMIER GRADE”. The underside of the frame is marked with the serial number “H 0204” The rear face of the cylinder is marked “H0204”.
Barrel Length: 7 ½”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a removable ramped serrated blade on an elevated ramped base. The rear sight is a square notch adjustable for windage and elevation.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are impregnated smooth laminated hardwood. There are some light marks on the lower half of the left grip. There is a compression mark on the back of the right grip. There are light handling marks throughout. The grips rate in about Fine overall condition.
Type of Finish: Brushed Stainless Steel
Finish Originality: All Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright with some fouling and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are only light handling marks throughout this revolver. The pins are intact. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun.

Our Assessment: The 353 Casull is capable of handling loads that are impossible, in other 357 Magnums. With the 353 Casull, virtually the only limitation is the strength of the .357 Magnum cartridge case. Muzzle velocities of over 1600 feet per second have been reported in 353 loadings using a 180 grain bullet. A Casull round could be used effectively for hunting small deer. This 353 Casull revolver is the king of all .357 chambered pistols.
