Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q.”. The right side of the slide is marked “MADE IN BELGIUM / ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL”. The barrel is marked “CAL. 9mm LUGER” and “245NY60016”. The front strap is marked “245NY60016”. The right bow of the trigger guard is marked with a Belgian proof and “* / Y” inspection mark. The right side of the barrel lug is marked with a “* / F” inspection mark and a Belgian proof mark. The bottom flat of the firing pin housing has a Belgian proof and “* / q” inspection mark. The bottom of the barrel lug is marked “2” in a hexagon.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a white square on the rear face that is dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two white squares on the rear face that is dovetail to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered wood panels. The grips show only faint handling wear and the checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. There is some very faint fouling in the grooves.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is a tiny little nick on the bottom left of the slide. Otherwise, there is hardly any wear. The screw heads are lightly tool-marked. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. There is hardly any notable play between the slide and frame. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This is a Browning Hi-Power manufactured in Belgium and assembled in Portugal in 1995. Hi-Power pistols have a reputation for being high quality and are highly sought after for their collectability and practical defense use as well.
