Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. / FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL”. The right side of the slide is marked “BROWNING S.A. / MADE IN BELGIUM”. The barrel is marked “CAL. 9mm LUGER / 245PN55850”. The front strap is marked “245PN55850”. The right bow of the trigger guard is marked with two Belgian proofs. The right side of the barrel lug is marked with a “* / A” inspection mark and a Belgian proof mark. The bottom of the firing pin housing is marked with small factory markings and a proof.
Barrel Length: 4 5/8”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a patridge blade with a white square on the rear face that is dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two white rectangles that is dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered black synthetic panels with serrated shelves on either side. The grips show only a few light nicks on the smooth borders and the checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in about Fine-Plus condition. The left side of the frame has a lanyard ring stud.
Also included are an additional set of checkered black synthetic grips. There are some faint marks on the smooth borders and the checkering is sharp.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few minor scratches on the right side of the slide and frame in the same area. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The action has minor operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. The magazine disconnect is present and functional. There is hardly any play between the slide and frame. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a black Browning soft case and three13-round magazines. Please note, no magazines will be included where prohibited by law.
Our Assessment: The Mk III Hi Power made its debut in 1988. It retained the extended, ambidextrous thumb safeties seen on the Mk II, but the barrel bushing was nearly flush with the front of the slide. The Mark III has a great feature set: a receiver of machined steel with a black epoxy finish, a 4 5/8″ barrel, high profile fixed sights. This example was manufactured in Belgium in 1989. This is a beautiful pistol with about 98% of its original finish in about Fine-Excellent condition. The bore is bright and the trigger is light and crisp. Please see our photos and good luck!
