Markings: The left side of the left barrel is marked “PROOF TESTED 12 GA 3” CHAMBER”. The underside of the left barrel protected by the forend is marked “CAM.76”, “18.4”, and with an Italian proof mark. The underside of the right barrel protected by the forend is marked “KG1.480”, “18.4”, and with an Italian proof mark. The barrel lug assembly is marked with various stamps and proof marks and the serial number “806621”. The forend iron is marked with the serial number “806621”. The water table is marked with various proof marks. The receiver and trigger guard feature fine floriate engraving with waterfowl scenery on both removable side plates and the Fabarm rampant lion on the underside. The left side plate is marked “MADE BY FABARM ITALY”. The right plate is marked “HECKLER & KOCH INC. STERLING • VA”. The top of the receiver under the break lever is marked with the serial number “806621”.

Sights / Optics: There is a brass bead at the front of the textured barrel rib.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered wood with pistol grip, semi beavertail forend, straight comb, and checkered composite buttplate. There are just light handling marks, but otherwise the stocks are free of any notable wear or damage. The checkering is sharp. The drop at comb is 1 1/2”, the drop at heel is 2 1/4”, and the cast is off. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the front of the right trigger to the back of the buttplate. The buttplate is free of any notable wear or damage. Overall, the stocks rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: Both bores are bright and there is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are light handling marks, but otherwise the blued finish is free of notable wear or damage. The engraved metal areas are free of notable wear or damage. Screws show minor tool marks with strong slots, and markings are generally clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in Fine-to-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lockup is tight with no play to the receiver. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun includes a blue and tan leather fitted luggage case with blue velvet inlay, cloth sleeves and a compartment for the additional chokes. The case shows light handling wear with some of the gold finish worn from the lion logo, edge wear and a small tear in the bottom right tan leather end, and rates in Very Good-Fine condition. The additional chokes show light operational wear and rate in Fine condition.

The Classic Lion Grade II on offer here is a beautiful example of the craftsmanship Fabarm has dedicated itself to, with solid construction and handsome fine engraving, you’ve got here a waterfowl shotgun that any hunter would be proud to own, display, and best of all, put dinner on the table with.
