Markings: The top of the left barrel is marked “SUHL” and “EHRHARDT / *LAUF*” surrounding the logo. The top of the right barrel is marked “HUBERTUS” and “EHRHARDT / *LAUF*” surrounding the logo. The barrel flat is marked with German proofs, and the 1971 date code. The bottom of the left barrel is marked with the serial number and the bottom of both barrels are marked with German proofs. The watertable is marked with German proofs and the serial number “54392”. The trigger plate visible through the watertable is matched and marked “392”. The bottom tang is marked with the serial number “54392”. The buttplate is matched and marked “54392”. The forend iron is matched and marked “392”. The frame has border and scroll engraving. The trigger guard, top tang, and hammers also have scroll engraving. The left side of the frame has a game scene with waterfowl and the left sideplate has a game scene with a rabbit. The right side of the frame has a game scene with two pheasants and the right sideplate has a bird dog.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass bead set on the solid rib at the muzzle. The rib is serrated for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with a round bottom pistol grip, straight comb, cheekpiece, serrated metal buttplate, and splinter forend with a Deeley release. There is an inlaid brass oak leaf on the right side of the buttstock. There is a sling loop on the belly and another on the bottom of the barrel set. There is a small loss on the top edge of the forend on the right side at the rear. There is an even smaller loss on the top edge of the forend on the left side at the front. There are some scattered compressions, nicks, dings, and light scratches. The majority of the defects have colored with age. There are some oil stains. The checkering is mostly intact and strong with some light rub wear. The LOP measures 14? and 13” from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the buttplate. The drop at heel is approximately 2 3/4″ and the drop at comb is 1 3/8″. The plate has some scattered little scuffs and scratches. The stocks are in about Very Good-plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores mostly bright. There are a few infrequent spots of erosion and pitting. There are a few light dents.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The barrels show only a few scattered light marks. There are a few light scuffs that have lightly thinned the finish. There are a few little nicks on the barrels. There are a couple of light dents on the barrels. The frame and receiver have some light discoloration and light handling marks. There is standard operational wear. The majority of the screw heads are sharp and properly timed with the slots in line with the bores but some are lightly worn and not timed. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Very Good-Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
