Our Assessment: This Remington Wingmaster 16 GA is a distinguished variant of the iconic Remington 870, renowned for its reliability and smooth action. Introduced as part of the 870 series, the Wingmaster is a go-to duck gun for generations of American hunters. Chambered for 16 gauge 2 ¾” shells, this shotgun offers versatility, and would be a performer in the field and on the lake.
This particular Wingmaster has had a couple of modifications. It has a Cutts Compensator to tame recoil and some very tasteful engraving of bird hunting scenes.
This shotgun has not seen much field time. It has a notable lack of handling and operational wear since its refinish-and-engraving. It is in excellent shape and would be a nice collector’s piece. Please see our photos. -C.B.
