Our Assessment: This Royal Ordnance Factory (ROF) Fazakerley No5 Mk1 is a true “Jungle Carbine”. It has a hollow bolt handle knob and scallops cut out of the receiver & barrel shank to reduce weight (we checked under the wood). It is in Fine condition with matching part numbers which is quite rare for a Military rifle that is over 75 years old. The metal finish is in nice shape, the wood looks great, and the bore is strong & bright. This is a Nice No5 Mk1 “Jungle Carbine” for your collection.
