Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “CUSTOM BY / Ed Brown”. The right of the frame is marked “Ed Brown Products Perry, MO USA / EB10057”. The front face of the barrel bushing is marked “BROWN”. The top of the chamber is marked “Ed Brown 45 ACP’.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Patridge blade dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a serrated square notch Bo-Mar target sight dovetailed into the slide. The top and rear of the slide have serrations for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are double diamond checkered wood. There is no notable wear or damage to the grips, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is light handling wear. There is standard operational wear. The screw sockets are strong. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly with a snug and smooth slide to frame fit. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be required to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: Ed Brown is among a small group of the best manufacturers of custom and semi-custom 1911s in the world including Wilson Combat, Nighthawk Custom and Les Baer. This pistol pre-dates most of their models today and was simply referred to as the Class A Custom. This pistol is an excellent example of why they have earned this reputation. Ed Brown has combined the most desired upgrades including front strap checkering, checkered flat mainspring housing, extended beavertail indexing bump grip safety, ambidextrous thumb safety, and skeletonized hammer and trigger with their legendary craftsmanship quality. Quality that will make this an excellent target pistol as well as a defensive pistol to which you can trust your life. This pistol is in Excellent condition, showing little sign of use and comes with a soft case and one magazine to get you started.
