Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “CUSTOM BY / Ed Brown”. The right side of the frame is marked “Ed Brown Products / Perry, MO USA / 21336”. The top of the barrel at the chamber is marked “ED BROWN 9MM”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Trijicon blade with a blaze orange ring surrounding a tritium lamp. The rear sight is a “U” notch sight with a serrated rear face and vertical front face for slide racking. The rear sight is dovetailed into the slide. Both sights have set screws. The tritium lamp is bright.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth bone panels. There are two little nicks on the right panel, otherwise, there is just light handling wear. There are no chips or cracks. The grips are in Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Matte Stainless

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its original finish remaining. There are a couple of minor scuffs and rubs. There are light handling marks and standard operational wear. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions properly. The slide is snug to the frame. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in an Ed Brown branded black nylon zipper case with two 9-round magazines, extra sights, and double diamond checkered wood grips in Excellent condition.

Our Assessment: Ed Brown is among a small group of the best manufacturers of custom and semi-custom 1911s in the world including Wilson Combat, Nighthawk Custom and Les Baer. This pistol is an excellent example of why they have earned this reputation. Ed Brown has combined the most desired carry upgrades including front and back strap checkering, bobtail mainspring housing, extended beavertail grip safety, extended thumb safety, night sights and skeletonized hammer and trigger with their legendary craftsmanship quality. Quality that will make this an excellent target pistol as well as a defensive pistol to which you can trust your life. This one is from a limited run of 9mm pistols they made and does not even have an official model name…the left slide flat is unmarked. This pistol is in Excellent condition, showing little sign of use and comes with a soft case and two magazines.
