Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked, “SA58 308 CAL SER# DS29927”. The right side is marked with the DSA address. There are small Hebrew markings throughout.
Barrel Length: 21.75” Approximate. 25” with muzzle device.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post set between two ears. The rear sight is a sliding aperture sight marked to 700.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is an original Israeli Makleon set with a U.S. produced butt stock and pistol grip. The buttstock is wood with a sling ring in the belly, folding shoulder piece, and metal buttplate. The pistol grip is smooth polymer flared at the bottom. The handguard is a round wooden handguard with grip serrations along with a vented metal front portion that fits around the gas block and gas adjustment. The barrel is mounted with an original Israeli Folding Bipod and carry handle. There are light handling marks throughout. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13.75” and 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate and shoulder piece respectively. Overall, the stock set is in Very Good condition.

Finish Originality: Original to most parts, refinished charging handle.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 85% of its metal finish. The wear is consistent with a parts kit build. The charging handle is in the white and the charging handle guide is cold blued. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. This firearm does not appear to be headspaced correctly, please have a competent gunsmith check over this firearm.

The U.S.-made buttstock and smooth polymer pistol grip are period-correct in style, with the buttstock featuring a folding shoulder piece and sling ring. The rear sight is the correct sliding aperture style, adjustable to 700 meters, while the bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, rating 9.5/10 in this writer’s opinion. Overall, the rifle retains about 85% of its metal finish with honest wear from handling and assembly, consistent with a surplus parts kit build. The charging handle has been refinished and is currently in-the-white, with its guide bar cold blued. Mechanically, the action functions correctly, and the rifle ships with a 20-round metric Israeli magazine in very good condition.
