Our Assessment: Colt’s 1911 served the U.S. Military all the way up to the early 1980’s; nearly every American has seen one on TV, in a movie or in their grandparent’s collection. The design is so legendary; hundreds of other manufacturers have followed its path and tried to improve upon the design, but without much change to the overall operation. This is a Dan Wesson Pointman PM7 with a host of upgrades such as a beavertail memory bump grip safety, skeletonized serrated trigger with overtravel adjustment, skeletonized hammer, Bomar style rear sight, stainless finish, angled front and rear slide serrations, and full length guide rod. This is a beautiful 1911 pistol with tasteful upgrades that simply showcase the brilliance of a design going strong over 100 years after its invention. If you need something to protect your house or to run concealed out in public, this would be a fantastic option. Please see our photos and good luck!
