Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked at the receiver with “257 ROBERTS”. The bottom of the trigger plate is marked “DAKOTA ARMS / -10- / STURGIS, SD” in front of the lever and “0574” behind.

Sights / Optics: There are case-color Talley bases and rings installed on the chamber ring and rear of the barrel holding a Zeiss Diavari C 3-9×36 scope with duplex reticle. There is no provision for iron sights. The scope has no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks, the glass is clear, in about Excellent condition.
Weight: 7 lb., 5.4 oz. including the installed scope.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered exhibition grade walnut with case-color skeleton grip cap and skeleton buttplate, straight comb with cheekpiece and inlet sling plate in the belly with another sling stud integral to a band on the barrel forward of the forend. The stocks have a few light nicks, scratches and scuffs, most on the left side. The most notable marks are on the left of the forend at the front and bottom-rear, the left of the wrist on the flat at the front and on the cheekpiece. The checkering is sharp including the checkering on the rear face of the butt. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate has strong case color with a few very minor marks. Overall, the stocks are in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The barrel has a few scattered minor nicks and handling marks. The receiver, lever, trigger plate and guard have bright, vibrant case color with a few light marks, most notable a scratch on the left receiver flat at the bottom which lines up with the one on the left-rear of the forend. The action shows minor operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is light and crisp. There is a safety mounted on the upper tang. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. This Model 10 Deluxe is a gorgeous rifle, chambered for the classic .257 Roberts cartridge. Invented by Ned Roberts, the .257 Roberts cartridge was made from the 7mm Mauser case but necked down to .250″ or “quarter bore”. The result is a great all-around hunting cartridge that is still popular with hand-loaders today. This wonderful cartridge is paired with exhibition grade walnut stocks, vibrant case color finish on the receiver, lever and tasteful skeleton grip cap and buttplate.
