Sights / Optics: Factory hooded blade front sight is present and serviceable; the detachable rear sight has been removed but the factory base remains installed and the adjustable rear sight assembly is included in the kit and fully adjustable when reinstalled. A Redfield Revolution 4–12×40 scope is mounted in rings (optic shows service wear and a light scrape on the turret housing; optical clarity good).
Stock / Furniture: Walnut-tone wooden stock and forearm present nicely with light handling marks and no structural issues noted. Two sling swivel studs are installed.
Magazine / Accessories: Supplied with five magazines total — four 10-round magazines and one 5-round magazine — plus the removable rear sight assembly (in plastic bag), scope, scope rings, and two sling swivels.
Type of Finish: Matte black factory finish on receiver and barrel with normal handling wear at high-contact areas; wood has a light salon refinish or factory oil and displays even, attractive grain.
Bore Condition: The bore appears bright with well-defined rifling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: 98% Finish Retained; Very Good. Mechanically complete and honest in presentation; finish wear is consistent with light field use and handling, the wood is clean and intact, and all serials are matching. The mounted optic shows cosmetic wear on its exterior housing but is clear and usable. The magazines and spare rear sight are included to complete the package for field use.
Mechanics: The action functions as intended for a semi-automatic .22 WMR rifle; bolt and controls are serviceable and the detachable magazines seat properly. The included scope tracks and the magazines feed smoothly in bench checks. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Our Assessment
The CZ 512 is a straightforward, Czech-made semi-automatic rimfire built for practical varmint and small-game work; chambered in .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire, it delivers a notable step up in velocity and terminal performance compared with .22 Long Rifle, making it well suited to open-country small predators and longer-range rimfire shooting. This example, serial 13B341669, comes ready to hunt with a 4–12×40 Redfield optic, a full complement of magazines (four 10-round and one 5-round), and the removable rear sight assembly, and presents as a clean, honest rifle that will go to work right away.
Historically, the .22 WMR was introduced to offer rimfire shooters more flat-shooting performance for small vermin at extended rimfire distances; paired to a reliable CZ semi-auto chassis and the supplied optics and magazines, this CZ 512 is a practical, turn-key varmint rifle.
