Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL with a lion w ”.  The right side of the frame is marked “COLT’S  PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORDM CONN. U.S.A.”, “FG84598”. The left side of the slide is marked “-COLT MK IV SERIES 80”. The chamber is marked “-BAR STO 45 ACP-  MT”.  

Barrel Length: 5”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramp blade dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a Wichita fully adjustable square notch that is dovetailed to the barrel. 

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a checkered wood grips with smooth grip screw diamonds. There are a few light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is strong with faintly worn peaks. There is a scratch on the left grip.  The grip rates in about Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Blued

Finish Originality: Refinished by Steve Woods

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.  In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10

Overall Condition: The pistol retains 99% of its refinish. The balance of the finish shows light handling or operation wear. The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide to frame fit is snug. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, it may need a thorough cleaning to meet your maintenance standards.
