Our Assessment: This matched pair of Colt Frontier Scout revolvers was produced in 1963 to honor the 100th anniversary of West Virginia’s statehood. Like all factory commemoratives of the early 1960s, Colt spared no effort in crafting a presentation-grade set. Featuring nickel and gold finishes, historical engraved cylinders, and medallion walnut grips, these revolvers showcase the quality and attention to detail that defined Colt’s commemorative era.
Both revolvers are in excellent condition, retaining nearly all of their factory finish with sharp markings and pristine bores. The factory wood display case completes the set, making it ideal for presentation or investment. With consecutive-style serial numbers (WV109 and WV110), this set stands apart as a unified collector’s piece.
Whether you’re a Colt enthusiast, a West Virginia history buff, or a collector of fine rimfire revolvers, this Centennial pair presents a rare opportunity. A clean, complete, and beautifully preserved example of Colt’s commemorative tradition. Please see our high quality photos and good luck on your bid! -M.C.
