Our Assessment: This is a Colt Single Action Army revolver manufactured in 1911, placing it firmly in the heyday of the Old West’s influence on American firearms culture. Known for its robust design and powerful .45 Colt chambering, the SAA became synonymous with frontier lawmen and cavalry alike, and by the time this example was made, it had already become an icon.

This revolver has a replaced barrel but retains matching serial numbers across the major components, along with a classic combination of original blued and case-colored finishes. Despite honest wear from use and age, it maintains clear markings and good mechanical function. The grips are period-correct style replacements and lend the revolver a continued utilitarian presence.

Whether you’re a collector of early 20th-century Colts, a fan of classic cowboy arms, or simply looking for a piece of genuine American firearm history, this revolver deserves attention. Its 1911 production date makes it an especially appealing piece for those seeking Colt’s most storied revolver in a pre-war configuration.
