Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.” The left side of the barrel is marked “COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45”. The left side of the frame is marked with patent dates and the Rampant Colt logo. The underside of the frame is marked with the serial number “SA24446”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fixed blade integral to the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch integral to the top strap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips currently installed are beautiful genuine stag horn grips with natural coloring and texture, showing very minor handling marks and no chips or cracks. They fit tightly to the frame and are in Excellent condition. Additionally, the original black checkered Eagle grips are included. These original grips show minor handling wear but no chips or cracks and rate in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is stubborn fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains approximately 98% of its original finish. The blued finish on the barrel and cylinder is strong, showing only very minor handling marks and a faint cylinder turn line. The forcing cone has light leading. The case coloring on the frame is vibrant and rich, displaying attractive blue, purple, and straw hues. Screw heads remain sharp and unmarred, and all markings are clear and crisp. Overall, this revolver rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action has been professionally tuned by the late Eddie Janis of Peacemaker Specialists. It exhibits exceptionally smooth, crisp, and reliable mechanics, with tight lockup, excellent timing, and a notably refined trigger pull. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
