Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This Python will ship with its original manual.
Our Assessment: In 1955, the United States launched the first nuclear powered submarine, West Germany joined NATO, Rocky Marciano beat Don Cockell by TKO in the 9th round at Kezar Stadium, and Colt began shipping the greatest precision combat and target revolver ever made. Each revolver was hand-tuned at the factory and this attention to detail shows both cosmetically and in operation. With barrel lengths ranging from 2 1/2″ to 8″ and with some of the finest machining and finishing seen in the industry, the Python has earned its reputation and continues to be eagerly sought after to this day. The Colt Python revolvers were discontinued, then re-introduced, but the originals appear to be of much higher quality so the value of these fantastic weapons continues to increase. The revolvers are becoming harder and harder to find, making it a tough go to attain ownership. This handsome stainless steel example is less-common and its 4” barrel will make a striking revolver all the more easy to carry on your person. It dates back to 1983, but its minimal wear and timless aesthetic make for an altogether timeless firearm. It is in high enough condition that it will doubtlessly fit well in a collection of Colt’s Serpent revolvers. It’ll even make for an authentic Rick Grimes Walking Dead costume for Halloween (should your state allow open carry, of course). Good luck and happy bidding!
