Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “PYTHON .357 / .357 MAGNUM CTG.” The serial number “PY026027” is marked on the frame. Colt’s rampant pony logo is etched on the left side of the frame above the grip.
Barrel Length: 6” with full lug and ventilated rib
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an orange insert ramp. The rear sight is a fully adjustable square notch.
Stock Configuration & Condition: Installed on the revolver is a pair of Altamont Super Rosewood grips with finger grooves, checkering, and an inlaid Colt medallion. Also included is the original set of Colt Python checkered grips with medallion, still sealed in packaging with screws. Both sets of grips are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver rates in Excellent overall condition. The stainless finish shows no signs of wear beyond light handling marks. The cylinder shows only a faint turn line. All markings are sharp, and the action is tight.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The timing is precise and the lock-up is tight. The trigger pull is smooth in double-action and crisp in single-action. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is the original Colt blue plastic hard case with factory foam insert, instruction manual, Colt lock, two speedloaders, the original grips (sealed in plastic with screws), and an Altamont literature insert.
