Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch integral to the topstrap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth wood. There are faint handling marks present. The grip rates in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only the faintest evidence of handling. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are clean. The markings are crisp and deep. Overall, this revolver rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This Colt New Jersey Tercentenary Commemorative Single Action Army was issued in 1964 to mark the 300th anniversary of the founding of New Jersey. Based on the iconic Colt SAA platform, this revolver is chambered in .45 Colt and finished in brilliant nickel with deep rollmarks and etched cylinder scenes that evoke early colonial encounters.
Colt commemoratives from this era were built with the same craftsmanship and attention to detail as standard production models, often making them as mechanically sound as they are historically interesting. The special serial number (with “NJ” suffix) and matching walnut case make this a particularly appealing set for collectors of state commemoratives, Colt historians, and fans of the classic Peacemaker design.
