Our Assessment: The Colt New Frontier Single Action Army represents the pinnacle of Colt’s classic revolver craftsmanship, pairing the time-honored lines of the Peacemaker with a modernized target sight system. Introduced in the mid-20th century, the New Frontier added adjustable sights to the traditional SAA frame, offering improved precision for shooters who valued both performance and tradition.
This example, chambered in .44 Special with a 5.5” barrel, is one of the more desirable configurations. The caliber is renowned for its smooth recoil and excellent accuracy, and when combined with the target-style rear sight and case-colored frame, this revolver is just as at home in a collection as it is on the range.
With its high condition, C&R eligibility, and Colt’s iconic styling, this New Frontier will appeal to both collectors and shooters alike. Please see our high quality photos and good luck on your bid -M.C.
