Our Assessment: Colt’s Model 1873, the Single Action Army, is the “gun that won the west”, perhaps the most iconic handgun of all time. For nearly 150 years, the gun has been produced in a variety of configurations, finishes and calibers. This example was produced to commemorate Wild Bill Hickok, one of the American West’s most famous and interesting lawmen (also a soldier, spy, gambler, gunfighter, and showman). Hickok was born just a little to early to be made famous by using a Single Action Army, but this revolver’s beautiful blue and nickel finish, pearl grips, and unfluted cylinder makes for a beautiful tribute to one of the West’s greatest lawmen. In Excellent condition and with its original case, this should make a fine addition to any collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
