Our Assessment: This is a beautiful 1965 Colt Gold Cup National Match 1911, one of the more desirable factory target pistols of the post-war era. Designed for competitive bullseye shooting, the Gold Cup featured precision-tuned internals, a wide target trigger, adjustable rear sight, and hand-fit slide/frame mating. It was built from the factory for tight tolerances and optimal accuracy—something Colt fans and collectors still recognize today.

This pistol is both C&R eligible and a prime example of mid-century Colt craftsmanship, with a deep Colt Royal Blue finish and elegant checkered walnut grips. Complete with its period-correct box, this early Gold Cup is an outstanding addition for collectors, target shooters, or anyone who appreciates the best of classic Colt performance.
