Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered walnut stocks with gold-colored Colt logo medallions. The exterior of the grips show minor handling wear with some discoloration on the rear edge of the right panel’s checkering and a few minor marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no external chips or cracks, but the left panel is bulged inward at the screw escutcheon and the right has an internal crack across the grip screw hole as from over-tightening. The left panel is missing its escutcheon for the indexing pin, resulting in minor play between the panel and the frame. Overall, the grips appear Fine-Excellent but rate Good-plus due to the internal damage.
Type of Finish: Blue
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in about Fine condition and would rate Excellent but for the internal damage to the grips.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder lockup is tight with no movement on all 6 chambers when the trigger is depressed. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes in a faux-wood cardboard Colt box with serial-matching label, two-piece styrofoam inserts and an assortment of factory paperwork including manual. The box has scattered storage wear with fraying and tears at edges and corners, in about Good condition.
