Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “COLT COWBOY 45 COLT”. The left of the frame is marked with a rampant colt logo, the bottom is marked with the serial number in front of the trigger guard. The left of the trigger guard is marked “VP” in triangle and “S”. The front face of the cylinder is marked “834”, the rear is marked “C45”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch at the rear of the topstrap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The installed grips are two-piece checkered black plastic with rampant colt in oval at the top of each panel. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.
Also included is a pair of grips which appear to be some kind of horn. The exterior of the panels shows no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The inside of the left panel is bulged inward at the grip screw escutcheon, as from over-tightening. The grips appear in Excellent condition but rate Very Good-plus due to the internal damage.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. The finish is thinning at some edges, most on the cylinder. There are spots of finish wear on the left of the barrel at the muzzle and on the front of the ejector rod housing. The action shows light operational wear. The grip frame has strong finish but does show some casting pores. The frame’s case color is still bright. The screw heads range from sharp to tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder lockup is tight with no movement on all 6 chambers. The cylinder has a removable bushing. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes in a blue plastic Colt box with serial-matching label, the additional grips as described, orange “stop-sign” hang-tag and manual. The box has scattered light storage wear, in about Very Good condition.
