Our Assessment: The Colt Bisley Model was introduced in the late 19th century as a target-shooting variant of the Single Action Army. Featuring a distinctive wide hammer spur, a more angled grip frame, and a lowered hammer profile, the Bisley was purpose-built for precision shooting and offered in a wide range of calibers. This example, manufactured in 1907, is chambered in .32 W.C.F. (.32-20), a popular cartridge at the time for small game and varmint hunting.
With its 7.5” barrel and Colt factory markings intact, this revolver is a great representation of early 20th-century firearms craftsmanship. While showing signs of honest use and age, it retains a good amount of its original finish and character. The bore remains in serviceable shape, and the mechanics are solid, making this a fine candidate for either collection or recreational black powder and cowboy-action-style shooting.
For collectors of Colt revolvers, particularly those drawn to the history and unique profile of the Bisley Model, this piece represents an excellent opportunity. It’s both a historical artifact and a testament to Colt’s adaptive designs for competitive and sporting shooters. Please see our high quality photos and good luck on your bid! -M.C.
