Our Assessment: This Colt Single Action Army is part of the Arizona Territorial Centennial commemorative series, issued in 1963 to honor the 100-year anniversary of the Arizona Territory (1863–1963). Only 2,000 were produced, each featuring a beautiful Gold and Blued finish.
The commemorative features are beautifully executed, with bold roll markings and matching serial numbers across the revolver and grips. Chambered in the traditional and desirable .45 Colt, this wheelgun maintains the full elegance and legendary handling of Colt’s timeless SAA design, with a 5 1/2″ barrel that balances beautifully in hand.
For collectors of commemorative Colts, U.S. history-themed firearms, or those who simply admire a finely finished Single Action Army, this piece is a worthy addition. Its condition and presentation are exceptional, and while commemoratives are often unfired, this one appears mechanically sound and ready for action if desired.
