Our Assessment: On offer here is the adjustable sighted cousin of Colt’s legendary Single Action Army, the New Frontier Single Action Army. While the original SAA revolvers have rugged, fixed sights, the New Frontier has a ramped front sight and adjustable rear sight, giving it a rather contemporary appearance. This is a fairly early example, made in 1963 during the 2nd Generation of SAA production. The revolver is in Excellent condition, retaining 98% of its original metal finish and has a very nice case colored flat-top frame. It comes with a correct box and even a serial-matching test target. Based on the test target, this revolver can shoot! This model has a 7 1/2? barrel giving it a stupendous sight radius for target shooting, making for a very accurate revolver that the shooters will appreciate. As a collector item, you can’t beat the look and feel of a Colt. Do not hesitate to place a generous bid on this handsome revolver—you will not regret it. Good luck and happy budding!
