Our Assessment: The Colt 1911 WWI Reproduction is a faithful recreation of the original U.S. military Model of 1911 pistols issued during the First World War. Produced in 2006, this model captures the early roll marks, “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” frame marking, lanyard loop on the mainspring housing, and correct period-style small parts that defined the iconic service sidearm. Built in the classic 5″ Government configuration and chambered in .45 ACP, this reproduction offers both historical authenticity and modern Colt craftsmanship.
