Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “Colt Super .38 Automatic”. The left side of the frame is marked “GV049470”. THe left side of the slide is marked “El Matadore” “53/100”. The top of the left grip features an inset rampant Colt medallion in gold.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramp blade. The rear sight is a square notch in a dovetail base.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are deluxe checkered walnut and simulated pearl panels with gold Colt medallions and a raised rampant Colt figure on the right panel. The grips show no cracks or notable wear and rate in about Excellent Plus condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: One Colt factory 9-round .38 Super magazine in Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Bright Polished Nickel with Gold Accents on Trigger, Grip Safety, Slide Stop, Magazine Release, and Hammer
Finish Originality: Original Factory Custom
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its original factory custom finish. There is no significant wear or handling marks visible. The gold-plated parts are vibrant and untarnished. The screw heads are sharp and clean. The pins are unmarred. The markings are crisp and fully legible. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent to Like New condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is the original box with fitted foam, one magazine, the original El Matadore promotional pamphlet, a numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by Austin Rohr (this is #53 of only 100 produced), and a Custom medallion.
