There is minor handling wear on the hammer spur and some operational wear on the left face of the hammer. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder lockup shows barely perceptible play on each chamber. The trigger pull is crisp. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning will be required to meet your standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes in a wood Colt presentation case with red fabric lined interior and Colt 125th Anniversary medallion fob.
Our Assessment: This is a beautiful 2nd Generation Colt Single Action Army revolver built in 1961, less than a decade after they reintroduced the SAA. The 2nd Generation Colts are the favorite of many, and for good reason. They are built as well as the 1st’s, and by the returning WWII soldiers. This one is especially attractive with the deep blue finish and gold accents, made to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Colt’s Patent Firearms. The revolver is in Very Good condition, showing signs of handling but little use. This is a very nice find for the collector, shooter or cowboy. Please see our pictures and good luck!
