Changes Are Coming…

More Taking Stock

Some of you may have heard rumors, but changes are afoot and we’d like to take a minute to let everyone know what is going on here at LSB.

As the California landscape changes and the legal requirements become more unique, we have made the difficult decision to separate our businesses and created a separate dedicated firearms auction company in California. We are all aware of the political climate in California, but as gun owners and shooters ourselves, we recognize the needs we serve for both buyers and sellers. We couldn’t abandon our friends, staff or the opportunity.

Therefore, in order to best serve all of our customers and consignors LSB California and LSB Wyoming are formally splitting and will be separate companies.

Spencer and his family have relocated to Cody Wyoming, where “Lock Stock and Barrel” will continue road-tripping and gathering guns from across the nation for auction on Gunbroker and via live Cody, Wyoming in-person auctions. Same great service, just from a friendlier state.

The California entity has changed ownership and Spencer’s former partners in the company now own and operate it. Many of you already know Chad Davis and Tim Albers. This existing operation will take on the name “Mount McCoy Auctions” (for those of you wondering – in reference to a well-known local hiking trail), with the focus of working for gun owners in the state of California and neighboring states. The California business continues with the same great staff, location, and the fun atmosphere that got us to this point.

Both companies will work hand in hand with each other to help gun owners across the country with whatever they need.
