Barrel Length: 4” 4 Ported Barrel.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a tritium lamp inserted blade dovetailed to the top of the barrel. The rear sight is a KENSIGHT adjustable square notch sight with serrated face. The tritium lamp in the front sight is depleted.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a two piece Stag grip set screw set to the frame. The grips show no chips, cracks or notable marks. Overall the grips are in Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Blued (Plum)
Finish Originality: Original.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is defined. There is no erosion in the bore. There is minor fouling present on the edges of the lands. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. The slide has turned a plum hue. The front strap and back strap both show finish thinning from wear. The main finish loss is on the grip safety. The slide to frame fit is very snug and the action is very smooth. The pins are clean, the screw heads are sharp, and the markings are clear. Overall this pistol is in Very Good+ condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol includes one single stack magazine in Very Good condition.
Our Assessment: This Caspian frame 1911 chambered in .400 Hybrid (10mm) showcases an impressive custom build with precision upgrades. The slide is a Borks custom piece that has been converted into a DVC Island-style configuration, where the front sight is mounted directly to the barrel. The slide has been cut to accommodate four upward-facing barrel ports, providing both recoil mitigation and enhanced lockup precision. These modifications, combined with the tight slide-to-frame fit, indicate the pistol was purpose-built for competition-level accuracy and controllability.
The frame is outfitted with stag grips, adding both a distinctive aesthetic and classic styling to the modern custom features. A Kensight fully adjustable rear sight complements the island-mounted front sight, allowing for precise sighting adjustments. The pistol also incorporates a two-piece threaded guide rod, enhancing stability and serviceability.
