Markings: The sides of the receiver are marked “CAESAR / GUERINI”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “MAGNUS”, “Made in Italy” and the engraver signature “Bottega C. Giovanelli”. The right upper edge of the receiver has the serial number. The water table has several proofs. The inside of the forend is marked “2.5”. The left side of the barrel set is marked with a warning and “CAESAR GUERINI Made in Italy”. The bottom of the monobloc is marked “P 154 168176 IT21” with proofs. The right side is marked “20 ga. 70mm 2, 3/4 chamber CAESAR GUERINI USA Cambridge, MD”.
Barrel Length: 28” ported.
Choke: Threaded for Selectachoke-Competition chokes. Currently installed Skeet over Improved Cylinder. The shotgun also includes a second IC, Cylinder, Light Mod and Modified. Six chokes total.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a fiber optic green and orange insert, screwed into the ventilated rib near the muzzle with a second smaller mid-rib metal bead; the top of the rib is finely checkered for glare reduction with a smooth shallow center channel.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set is a two piece very high quality checkered walnut with a Schnabel tipped forend and a close radius grip with right handed palm swell over sized flute on the right hand side to position the thumb, straight comb and a rubber butt pad. The length of pull is 14.75”. The drop at comb is 1.5” and the drop at heel is 2.5”. The cast is slightly right handed. The weight of the shotgun is 7lbs 8 OZ. The stock appears to have a Caesar Guerini Kinetic Balancer installed in the stock. The wood shows minor handling. There are a few barely visible surface level lines. The rear edges of the forend show some very minor discoloration in the finish There are no chips or cracks. The rubber butt pad is soft. Overall the furniture is in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are mirror bright with no erosion. There are some lines present from use and some minor plastic fouling. I believe this plastic fouling can be cleaned up with a proper cleaning. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows little to no operation wear. There is some very minor rub wear from the forend that is concealed when assembled. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Excellent+ condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun has an upper tang mounted safety & barrel selector, it does not set automatically but functions correctly when manually set. The lock up feels flawless. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a red lined hard case, choke set as mentioned above with case, thread cleaner tool / choke wrench, stock wrench, owner’s manual, handouts, barrel and receiver sleeves.
Our Assessment: This 2021 Caesar Guerini Magnus Sporting Limited in 20 gauge is a beautifully executed sporting clays shotgun built around 28-inch ported barrels and a full choke set including Cylinder, Skeet, IC, Mod, and Light Mod.
