Our Assessment: The Browning X-Bolt Medallion Maple represents one of the most visually striking configurations in Browning’s modern bolt-action lineup. Manufactured by Miroku in Japan, the X-Bolt platform blends refined machining with practical hunting features, including a short 60-degree bolt lift and detachable rotary magazine system. The Medallion Maple variant elevates the presentation with factory scroll engraving and an AAA-grade maple stock, offering a distinctive alternative to traditional walnut while maintaining the rifle’s field-ready functionality.

Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, this rifle is built around one of the most influential modern hunting and precision cartridges. Developed in the early 2000s, the 6.5 Creedmoor gained widespread recognition for its efficient case design, favorable ballistic coefficients, and manageable recoil. The 22 inch barrel, extended to 24 inches with the installed radial muzzle brake, complements the cartridge’s velocity characteristics. The mounted Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14×40 scope with Wind-Plex reticle aligns well with the rifle’s long-range hunting orientation.

This example presents in fine overall condition, retaining nearly all of its original blued finish with minimal operational wear visible. The bore remains bright with sharp rifling, and the engraved receiver and maple stock remain visually impressive, with only minor cosmetic imperfections noted. With its factory magazine and quality mounted optic included, this Browning X-Bolt Medallion Maple stands as a modern sporting rifle that combines distinctive aesthetics with practical performance.
