Markings: The left side of the upper barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH MADE & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN JAPAN” The left of the monoblock is marked “27260”. The bottom of the monoblock is marked with “NP SP 2¾” The right side of the top barrel is marked “SPECIAL STEEL 28GA-2 3/4”- 28””. The inside of the forend iron is marked “27260” and the inside of the forend is stamped “27260”. The top tang, under the lever, is marked with “27260NX173”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “BROWNING / Citori”. The bottom of the trigger guard has a Buck Mark logo.

Sights / Optics: There is a silver bead at the front of the rib. The top of the rib is finely checkered for the purpose of reducing glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set is a two piece configured checkered walnut . The stock is a semi pistol grip, fluted straight comb, with a black plastic Browning buttpad. The forend is a tapered forend. The wood shows very light wear from minor handling and storage and a single scratch. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures approximately 14 ¼ ” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock has a slight right hand cast. The buttpad has almost no wear. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are mirror bright with no erosion and no fouling. If this shotgun was fired it was very little. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 10/10.
Overall Condition: Excellent to like-new in box showing only minor aging from minimal use/storage.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun features a single selective trigger and ejectors. The barrels lock up solidly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Browning Citori Upland Special in 28 gauge is a lightweight, fast-handling over-under shotgun designed with upland bird hunters in mind.
