Markings: Receiver stamped “03489 PN 932” matching the factory carton, which reads “M-12 PUMP SHOTGUN … SERIAL No. 03489 PN 932.” Carton label further notes Gauge: 20; Chamber: 2-3/4″; Barrel: 26″; Choke: MOD; Grade: G-5: The left side of the receiver is richly engraved with flowing scrollwork surrounding gold-inlaid hunting dogs on point. The right side of the receiver shows fine scroll engraving surrounding three gold-inlaid ducks in flight.
Barrel / Choke: 26″ round barrel with factory-marked Modified choke; barrel and choke are present in their original factory configuration.
Sights / Optics: Bead front sight on ventilated rib. No optics or aftermarket sights present.
Stock Configuration & Condition: Highly figured gloss walnut stock and matching checkered forend consistent with G-5 furniture. Checkering sharp and well executed; finish shows high gloss factory appearance with no visible dents, cracks, or repairs. Factory buttplate and cap present. Overall stock furniture presents as new-in-box.
Type of Finish / Finish Originality: Deep factory blue on receiver and barrel with full scroll engraving and gold inlaid game scenes (retrievers, flying ducks, pheasant). Finish appears original Miroku/Browning work; gold inlay crisp and complete. Minor handling/packaging marks visible in protective plastic and styrofoam but no evidence of rebluing or heavy refinishing.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is stubborn fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: Example presents as new-in-box (NIB) with original styrofoam insert, factory plastic wrapping and owner’s manual. Metal engraving and gold inlay are intact and sharply defined. Stock and forend are highly figured and glossy with no visible handling wear. Minor storage/packaging residue present in the foam cavities and on interior plastic — otherwise the shotgun appears unused with factory fit and finish.
Mechanics: Pump action cycles smoothly by hand; slide, action bars, and magazine tube components appear to be factory original and in proper working order visually. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. Recommend a full armorer function check prior to first firing.
Accessories: Original Browning M-12 factory box and inner styrofoam, owner’s manual, and paperwork. No extra choke tubes or aftermarket accessories.
