Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked with “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY”. The right side of the barrel is marked with the serial number and “CALIBER .243 ONLY / MADE IN FINLAND”. There is a nice floral engraving on the floorplate and trigger guard, the engraving is in Very Good condition.

Sights / Optics: The rifle is equipped with a hooded brass-bead front sight mounted on a serrated ramped base. The rear is a flip up u-notch with adjustable elevation dovetailed into a mount that is screwed into the barrel. Mounted to the receiver is a Redfield scope mount.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The wood stock has a checkered semi-pistol grip and forend. It also has a raised cheek rest. The buttstock has a synthetic butt pad. There are very light handling marks, primarily surface scratches, but no significant cracks or chips. The length of pull (LOP) measures approximately 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Very Good to Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with light wear. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. There are minimal markings anywhere on the finish. The bolt handle shows very light finish wear from operation. The screw heads are sharp, and the markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
