The drop at comb is 1.5” and the drop at heel is 2.5”.  The buttplate shows very minor wear with some minor debris in the texturing. The forend is a checkered, tapered full finger shelf forend. The wood shows almost no handling with some minor marks from storage. There are no visible chips or cracks. Overall the wood on this shotgun is in about Excellent Like New condition.

Type of Finish: Blued barrels, receiver & Gold Toned Trigger

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The smooth bores are mirror bright with no erosion. The bores show no lines from use or plastic fouling. If this shotgun was fired outside of factory testing it was very little.  In this writer’s opinion the bores rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: Like New in box showing only storage wear.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun features a single selective inertial trigger and ejectors. The barrels lock up solidly. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened but does function properly when engaged manually. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun includes its original box, manual and pamphlet.

Our Assessment: This 1992 Browning Citori Standard Field in .410 bore is a finely crafted over-under shotgun that reflects the enduring quality of Browning’s Japanese-made Citori line. This particular model is built with 26″ barrels and fixed Modified over Improved Cylinder chokes, providing a versatile setup well-suited for upland game, Sporting clays, or casual clay shooting. The .410 bore with 3″ chamber gives shooters the option of using heavier loads for hunting while retaining the light recoil and nimble handling the gauge is known for. The blued finish on the receiver and barrels contrasts elegantly with the checkered walnut furniture, which includes a semi-pistol grip and a full finger shelf forend.

This model maintains Browning’s reputation for reliability and smooth operation, with a solid boxlock action, gold-toned trigger, and automatic ejectors. The compact size and balance of this Citori make it quick to mount and naturally pointable, ideal qualities for the small-bore enthusiast. The craftsmanship and fit-and-finish of these early 1990s Citoris are often praised for being particularly high. It’s a timeless, classy .410 built for performance and built to last.
