Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “”BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN UTAH – MADE IN JAPAN/MIROKU”. The upper tang is marked “02454ZP171”. The right side of the barrel is marked “BT-99 SPECIAL STEEL 12GA. SHELLS 2 ¾” PAT. 5933997”. The left side of the barrel lug is marked “34” and “INVECTOR PLUS”. The bottom of the barrel is marked “02454” and with three Japanese proofs. The inside of the forend iron is marked “02454”. The receiver has coliate scroll engraving with gold bordering as well as a neat scene on each side with gold clay pigeons turning into live birds and gold clays on the bottom. The engraving motif continues onto the forend iron, lever, guard which also has a gold Buck Mark logo, and the trigger plate which has “BT 99” in gold.
Barrel Length: The ported barrel is 34” in length with a full length vent rib.
Choke: This shotgun is threaded for Invector Plus chokes. An Improved Modified is installed. Also included is a Full.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a full-length vent rib. There is a white bead in a base installed at the front of the rib with a smaller white mid-bead. The top of the rib is finely checkered to reduce glare.
Weight: 9 lb., 0.9 oz.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered grade V/VI walnut with beavertail forend, factory adjustable straight comb, pistol grip, and factory adjustable GraCoil recoil system with ventilated brown rubber Browning recoil pad. The stocks have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad as currently adjusted. Drop at comb is approximately 1 1/2″ and drop at heel 1 5/8″ as currently adjusted. The cast is about neutral. The recoil pad is supple with no notable wear. Overall, the stocks are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The barrel has minor wear from the forend, concealed when assembled. Otherwise, there is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrel locks up to the receiver with no play. This model was not made with a safety. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes in a black cardboard Browning box with serial-matching label, an assortment of factory paperwork including manual, instructions and wrenchest for the GraCoil recoil system, the additional choke in a plastic tube and a Browning branded choke wrench. The box has scattered light storage wear, a few minor punctures and short tears, and spots of tape residue, in about Good-Very Good condition.

This Browning BT-99 Golden Clays was certainly made with the trap shooter in mind. With its 34″ ported barrel, adjustable comb, adjustable recoil system, and the immense quality for which the BT-99 is known, this is a feature-rich, thoroughbred trap gun. It is also very pleasing to look at with its Grade III/IV walnut stocks, deep bluing, gold accented silver nitride finished and engraved receiver. This shotgun is in about Excellent condition with 98% of its metal finish remaining, appearing to have seen little, if any use.
