The 34” trap barrel has a similar fiber optic and mid-rib bead, the rib currently sits about 1 9/16” off of the barrel and is adjustable at the front and rear for elevation and plane balance. The top of both ribs have circular matting for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are beautiful lacquered high burl Grade 4 Blaser walnut. The semi beavertail forend has crisply defined checkering and displays only faint scuffs. The butt stock has a right side palm swell on the checkered pistol grip. The grain and tone variation are simply beautiful, please see our pictures. The stock has but a few light marks that mostly go unnoticed, even on close inspection. The Monte Carlo comb is adjustable and currently sits 0.142” high from the main stock. (32” Set): Drop at comb at is current height is 1 ½”, drop at heel of the cheek piece is about 1 3/8”, drop at heel at the recoil spacer is 1 7/8”. (34” Barrel): Drop at comb is 1 ½”, drop at heel of the comb is 1 9/16”, drop at the spacer is 1 7/8”, with the adjustable top rib portion at its current height. The trigger is on a slotted base that allows about ½” LOP adjustment, looking to be in its rear most position, measuring 14 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the black rubber recoil pad. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.
Type of Finish: Matte Black
Finish Originality: Factory Original
Bore Condition: The bores in both barrel sets are bright with no erosion, looking to have seen minimal use.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only a few small scuffs, none of which enter the metal beyond the finish. The shotgun set looks to have been used infrequently with proper care in the interim. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Excellent Plus to Mint condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. Both barrel sets have ejectors, the bottom firing pin strikes first. The trigger comes from the factory at 3.3lbs. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with the aforementioned barrels, 5 Briley chokes, a black 3-choke hard case, owner’s manual, grouping of factory paperwork, original combination rotary lock secured black Blaser hard case, Allen tools, 3 snap caps, 3 containers of gun lube and a beautiful heavy Americase. All items are in Excellent condition with the cases only showing minor exterior marks as photographed.
Our Assessment: According to the Blue Book of Gun Values, this model did not begin production until 2007 but this one has a date code from 2006, which apparently is the first year of manufacture. With two barrel sets, removable choke system and absolutely beautiful overall construction, this setup is going to be hard to pass by for trap and longer shots for Sporting Clays. If its not the gorgeous walnut stocks or tasteful matte black finish, it might be the crisp mechanics, excellent fit and finish this F3 provides. Please see our pictures and good luck.
