Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY”. The left side of the frame is marked “MOD. 85F – CAL. 9 Short”. The grip panels are marked with the Beretta logo. The right side of the barrel is marked “CAL. 9 Short / 380 Auto” and has an Italian proof marking. The right side of the slide is marked “(PB) PATENTED BERETTA USA CORP. ACKK MD.” The right side of the frame is marked “PB” and features the serial number “F15824Y”. The right side of the trigger guard has Italian proof marks including the date code “BA”.
Barrel Length: Approximately 3 3/4”
Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed to the muzzle end of the slide with a white dot. The rear sight is a square-notch with a white mark in the center.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The grip panels are two-piece checkered black plastic. The grip panels have some light handling marks and scuffs. The checkering remains sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip panels are in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 90% of its metal finish. There are some light handling marks on the pistols metal surfaces which include some finish loss on the leading edges. There are also some light nicks and scuffs. The markings remain clear. The screwheads are serviceable. Overall, the pistol is in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The single-action trigger is crisp and the double-action is smooth. The slide to frame fit is snug. We did not fire this pistol. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: The pistol comes with a total of 3 8-round magazines. Two of the magazines are still in their original packing. The other magazine has some light handling wear and remains in Very Good-Fine condition.
Our Assessment: This Beretta Model 85F is a single and double-action pistol chambered for .380 ACP rounds. The Model 85 comes from the line of Cheetah compact semi-automatic pistols designed by Beretta. The series began production in 1976 and the Model 85 remained in production until 2012. The pistol was briefly reintroduced in 2017. This particular pistol was manufactured in 1991, this can be determined by the Italian date code on the right side of the trigger guard. The pistol has a utilitarian bruniton finish and remains mechanically sound. It is well suited for self-defense and is small enough for concealed carry. Good luck on your bid!
