Markings: The top tang is marked “SX17006A / 692”. The water table is marked with Italian proofs and “IT16”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “MADE IN ITALY”, and with the Beretta logo over “692”. The trigger plate is marked “PATENTED”. The sides of the receiver are marked “BERETTA” and “692”. The protected portion of the forend is marked “C5F277P” and “150658”. The left of the top barrel is marked “SKEET / 12 GA. 3? – 76 – 30” / BERETTA – MADE IN ITALY / GARDONE V.T.”. The bottom left of the top barrel is marked with a proof. The right of the top barrel, above the lug metal, is marked with a warning to read the manual and “BERETTA U.S.A. CORP. ACKK. MD. / EXCELSIOR H.S.A. STEEL”. The right sides of the top and bottom barrel, ahead of the lug, are marked “18.6 HP TAPERED”. The bottom of the bottom barrel is marked “KG 1,400” and with two proofs and the date code behind the forend lug and the monoblock is marked with the serial number. The bottom of the bottom barrel is marked “0185895”
Barrel Length: Both barrels are 30?, Vent-Rib
Choke: The barrels are threaded to accept interchangeable chokes. Currently installed in both barrels are Beretta Skeet chokes. There are no additional chokes included.
Sights / Optics: A white beaded blade is fixed atop the rib at the front. There is a small brass bead midrib. The rib is checkered to reduce glare.
Weight: 8 lbs, 11 oz
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with a pistol grip, an adjustable cheekpiece, and a black rubber Beretta buttpad. There is no notable wear or damage. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The pad shows no perceptible imperfections. The drop at comb measures approximately 1 1/8” and 2 3/16” at the heel. The cast is slightly off. Overall, the stocks are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion in the bores. Included with this shotgun are two pairs of interchangeable Briley sub-gauge tubes. The fronts of the chambers and the rear smooth portions of the bores are marked either “T” or “B”, for top or bottom, over the last three numbers of the serial number, “006”. The top bores are red in color and the bottom bores are blue. The top bores are marked with the Briley logo next to “BRILEY / TOP BORE” and each bore’s respective size being “.616”, “.422”, or “.549”. The bottom bores are marked with the Briley logo next to “BRILEY / BOT BORE” and each bore’s respective size being either “.616”, “.422”, or “.549”. All bores are bright with no erosion, only very faint and easily removable fouling, in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains approximately 98% of its metal finish. There are just a few fine marks on the barrels and faint handling wear on the receiver. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly including ejectors. The action locks up tight with no play. The safety engages automatically when opening the action. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a navy blue Pacific Sporting Arms hard plastic case with three built-in combination locks, the previously mentioned sub-gauge tubes, installation and removal tools for the bores, synthetic gun oil, Gun Glide grease, and two screw drivers that come in a small case marked “SPARE PARTS”. The case has some scattered light nicks and scuffs from storage wear, in about Fine condition. All other accessories rate in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: Beretta is one of the oldest manufacturing houses that has been manufacturing some of the best quality competition shotguns around, and this piece is no exception. This clean and sexy Model 692 comes with three pairs of Briley sub gauge tubes, measuring .20, .28, and .410 respectively. Briley is world-famous in the realm of sport shooting and recreational shooting alike. These sub-gauge tubes are bright and each come with a Skeet choke installed.
