Action Type: Top-Break, Over/Under Single Selective Inertial Trigger with Ejectors. The safety automatically re-sets when the action is opened.   

Markings: The barrels are marked “28 GA. 2 3/4 – 28” BERETTA – MADE IN ITALY GARDONE V.T.”, “- EXCELSIOR – HIGH STRENGTH ALLOYED STEEL”. The barrels are also marked with all of the usual proofs, Beretta’s ACCK MD address and the Beretta warning. Barrel set #1 “56185”, “N86410B” with the date code “BP”. The #1 forend “N86410B”. Barrel set #2 “56185”, “N86411B” with the date code “BP”. The #2 forend “N86411B”. The receivers are marked “MADE IN ITALY Beretta Gallery PATENTED Bottega C. Giovanelli”, the flanks are marked “P. BERETTA”. The upper tangs are marked with their respective serial numbers, shotgun number and “DIAMOND PIGEON”. The inside of each action is marked “PSF 687EELL”.     

Barrel Length: Both barrel sets are 28” in length. 

Choke: The barrels are threaded for Beretta Mobil chokes. The barrel sets are currently both installed with FULL / MOD. Also includes Improved Modified x2, Modified x2, Improved Cylinder x2, and Skeet x2. Total chokes included 12.    

Sights / Optics: Both Barrel sets have a small brass bead mounted to the front of the rib. Both ribs are finely checkered for the purpose of reducing glare. 

Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture sets are two-piece checkered select walnut with traditional slab side Schnabel forends and semi pistol grip, fluted straight comb, thin wrist, semi palm swelled stocks with checkered wood butt plates. Both shotguns have a length of pull of 14.5”, the drop at comb 1.5” and the drop at heel is 2.3”. The casts are both right handed. Shotgun #1 weighs 6lbs 5OZ, Shotgun #2 weighs 6lbs 4oz. 

Shotgun #1’s wood shows minor signs of handling with some light surface level lines in the wood. There are no visible cracks. The most notable marr on the wood is a small chip in the finish and two very small nicks on the back side of the pommel.  

Shotgun #2’s wood shows minor signs of handling with some light surface level lines in the wood. There are no visible cracks or chips. The most notable marr in the wood are three very small nicks on the lower left side of the toe of the butt plate. 

Overall both furniture sets are in about Very Good+-Excellent Condition. 

Type of Finish: Blued and French Gray with gold toned triggers. 

Finish Originality: Original. 

Bore Condition:  All four smooth bores are mirror bright. There is no erosion or pitting in the bores. The bores show virtually no lines from use and only barely visible plastic fouling in the forcing cones. This should be easily removed with a proper cleaning. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9.9/10. 

Overall Condition: These shotguns retain approximately 99% of their metal finish. The receivers show almost no signs of wear. The breach faces and monoblocs show very minor rub wear. The triggers retain their finish. The barrel sets show no notable marrs or marks. The engraving is beautiful to see in person. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, these shotguns are in Excellent to Excellent+ condition. 

Mechanics: The actions function correctly including the ejectors. The actions lock up tight with no play. The safeties set automatically and function properly when set manually. We have not fired these shotguns. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: These shotguns include the paperwork, manuals, 2x rubber butt pads, 2x choke tools, 2x Beretta oil, 12 chokes with 8 storage tubes, The Original blue Beretta case, 4x Beretta Gun socks, and a Two Shotgun Americase with keys and paperwork.
