Markings: The left of the slide is marked with the Elite II logo and “BERETTA U.S.A. CORP. ACKK. MD MADE IN USA”. The left of the receiver is marked with “BER264041”. The right of the slide is marked with the Elite II logo, “96BRIGADIER -G- CAL. 40 S&W” the right of the receiver is amredk “WARNING: READ MANUAL BEFORE USE. RETRACT/SLIDE TO SEE IF LOADED> FIRES WITHOUT MAGAZINE”. There is a red dot on either side of the slide near the safety. The underside of the slide is marked with three dots and a “4”. The top of the barrel is marked “40 S&W STAINLESS”. The front of the barrel underneath the muzzle is marked “STAINLESS”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated blade dovetailed to the front of the receiver. The rear sight is a square notch dovetailed to the rear of the frame.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece black checkered plastic with black Beretta logo medals. There isn’t much in the way of operational wear, mostly consisting of some minor scratches. Overall, the grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish is minor operational wear from previous use and safe handling. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are clear. Overall this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The pistol comes in the factory case with a cardboard sleeve with matching end label. The gun comes with two magazines and a gun lock. Both magazines are marked “5/10” by holes on the front, “PB CAL.40 S. & W.-MADE IN ITALY” on the side, and with a “PB” Beretta logo on the bottom. The magazines have some minor operational wear on them, mostly scratches and discoloration. They rate in about Fine condition. The gun lock is a blue cable lock marked with the Beretta logo and “MASTER” and comes with a pair of keys and a set of instructions. The set comes inside a white cardboard box.
Our Assessment: The Beretta 92 (also Beretta 96 and Beretta 98) is a series of semi-automatic pistols designed and manufactured by Beretta of Italy. The Beretta 92 was designed in 1975, and production began in 1976. Many variants in several different calibers continue to be used to the present. This derivative of the Beretta 96–and, by extension, the Beretta 92–is a solid handgun that should work well in target practice or self-defense. High Condition and ready for long service.
