Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “CAL. 9 Short / 380 Auto”. The left side of the slide is marked “PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY”. The right side of the slide is marked with “PB” in an oval along with a factory warning. The left side of the frame is marked “MOD 85 F – CAL. 9 Short”. The right side of the frame is marked “PB”, “BF”, an Italian date code indicating the year of manufacture as 1995, two Italian proof marks, and the serial number, “F25647Y”.

Barrel Length: 3 3/4”

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade with a recessed white dot and is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a flat-topped square notch with a white half-circle that is dovetailed into the slide.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are checkered black plastic with smooth borders and Beretta three arrow logos. Light handling wear is present, but there are no major defects. Overall, the grips rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is a bit of minor stubborn fouling at the throat.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. There is light operational wear on the barrel. The slide has some minor thinning on forward edges. The frame has scattered minor nicks along with a bit of minor thinning. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in Fine-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
