Sights / Optics: The front sight is a red fiber optic rod fixed to the vent rib. There is a silver colored midbarrel sight also on the rib. The vent rib and the receiver are serrated for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a checkered composite, with capped semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, Benelli ventilated rubber buttpad, and a forend with a finger shelf. The entirety of the gun is covered in a Realtree Max-5 camouflage wrap. The stocks show no wear. The finish is strong, and the checkering is sharp. Overall, the stocks rate a Like New condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no visible erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains all of its original finish. There is a little scuffing on the front of the triggerguard. The pins are unmarred, and the markings are clear and legible. Overall, this shotgun rates a Like New condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The trigger has a crisp and clean break. We have not fired this shotgun, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Benelli Montefeltro has long been admired for its elegant design, reliability, and the legendary Inertia Driven system that put Benelli on the map. Combining sleek lines, lightweight handling, and soft-shooting performance, the Montefeltro is a favorite among hunters and clay shooters who want a shotgun that performs as good as it looks. With a 26” vent rib barrel, this 20 gauge variant offers excellent balance and swing speed, making it versatile for both upland hunting and the sporting fields.
This example, manufactured in 2020, remains in Like New condition, retaining nearly all of its factory finish with a notable absence of handling marks. The bore is mirror-bright. Mechanically, the Montefeltro is well-regarded for its simple yet durable action, and this one is no exception—it functions exactly as it should.
This shotgun appears to have never been to the field, but it really wants to go. It will help you blend in to the fall surroundings, and should, with its full choke, reach out and touch any target you can put it on. Please see our photos of this Italian beauty. -C.B.
