Sights / Optics: The rear sight is an adjustable two white dotted Ghost-Ring. The front sight is a dotted adjustable post protected by two protective wings. The top of the receiver is fitted with a picatinny rail for the mounting of optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is a two piece black synthetic with serrated forend, fixed buttstock with semi-pistol grip, straight comb, sling well and bar and rubber Benelli buttstock. There is little to no handling wear. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The smooth bore is bright. There is no visible erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is minor finish loss on top of the ejection port. There is a small scuff on the left side of the receiver. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with a non-matching Benelli box (M3) and owner’s manual.
Our Assessment: Benelli’s M4 is the benchmark combat shotgun of the modern era, built around the Auto-Regulating Gas-Operated (A.R.G.O.) dual-piston system that runs clean, self-regulates across 2¾” and 3″ loads, and stays reliable without user-tuning. This 2012-coded example has the correct duty-grade sighting suite—LPA ghost ring rear with a protected, dotted front—and a factory receiver rail for optics. The 18.5″ barrel is threaded for interchangeable chokes (Modified installed), giving you pattern flexibility from training steel to defensive buck, while the black synthetic furniture, sling provisions, and crisp controls reflect the platform’s no-nonsense, service pedigree.
Condition is excellent: about 98% finish with only a light rub at the ejection port and a small receiver scuff noted, bright smooth bore (about 9/10), sharp markings, and furniture showing little to no wear. The action functions correctly and the shotgun ships with a Benelli box (non-matching, M3-marked) and manual. Altogether, it’s a clean, late-production M4 that captures why this model remains the gold standard for a duty-reliable semi-auto—rugged, adaptable, and ready to configure with your choice of optic and choke.
